Analysis of Equilibria for Inter-Operator Cooperation in Green Cellular Networks: A Repeated Game Scenario

Efficient energy management is of great importance in cellular networks. Due to the fact that energy consumption in a base station poses significant costs, it seems reasonable for different operators to share their base stations when it might not be worthwhile to activate all of them simultaneously. Here, we develop a repeated game theoretic analysis of strategic inter-operative cooperation in a green cellular network as an extension to a previous work by Leng et al. [2]. We investigated the criteria under which social optimal result can be achieved through repeatedly playing the inter-operative base sharing game over an infinite time horizon.
